Laure Bruner
Office Manager and Legal Assistant to Attorney Jim Parsons

Although not originally from the area, Laure Bruner has lived in Palestine since 1977. Laure graduated from Westwood High School in 1983. She studied Business Administration and Computer Science at Trinity Valley Community College in Palestine, and graduated with highest honors in 1997.

Laure brings a vast amount of technical expertise to the firm. Her considerable experience in software programming and office administration and her numerous software and networking certifications are important assets.
After working for over 14 years as a software programmer in and for various government agencies, in late 2006, Laure accepted a position as office manager and legal assistant with the Law Offices of Jim Parsons, a paperless law firm. She began work the day the law office opened its doors on January 2, 2007, performing all of the firm’s accounting duties, as well as maintaining the firm’s case and client databases.

Laure assists with case development, drafting of pleadings, motions and correspondence. Her skill in developing and running courtroom presentations used in hearings and trials, enabled the firm to be one of the few, if only, firms in the area to present electronic depositions and testimony.

Laure has been married to her best friend and soul mate, Ken, for over 25 years. They have two adult children, Grady and Stephenie, and five precious grandchildren. Laure loves spending time with her extensive family, as well as hunting, fishing and traveling with Ken.

She is very active in her community both as a member of The Cars of Palestine, a service organization for owners of antique and/or special interest vehicles, and as a member and past president of Altrusa International of Anderson County, a service organization for professionals and community leaders.

Laure also serves the Altrusa organization both at the state and international levels.
